Game Makeover

Game Makeovers

Hey guys Matsterchief here again to speaketh to you all about game remakes. Sometimes as technology progresses our love for older games stays put. Luckily however game developers have noticed the market for game remakes.

Two games that I strongly recommend checking out are the remakes DOOM 3 BFG edition and Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. Both of these games are remakes of old Xbox games and they have had their graphics upgraded and have bonus content in them. I like these two games because they were two of my all time favorite Xbox games I have ever played and when I got my Xbox 360 I missed playing them but I couldn't because my Xbox was not backwards compatible. However when these games came out lets just say I was a little excited.

I love it when game developers' take the time to notice what people really want and miss and they address that and in some ways that kind of makes it seem like they care about us. Im sure there more interested in the potential profits but still we can pretend can't we.

There are more games that have been upgraded to play on next gen consoles and im sure there will be more and who knows maybe one of your old childhood games will be the next to get a new pain job.

Online Gaming

Online Gaming

Hello Matsterchief here again to talk to you all abut online gaming. Ever since Microsoft came up with the idea of Xbox Live the online gaming community has skyrocketed. You have the ability to either play games against other people from around the world or even play with them in team cases.

There are other features than online commnuinites such as Xbox Live and Playstation Network can provide such as the ability to purchase and litsten to music and videos. You can also connect with people in ways other than gaming such as just being involved in chat rooms or going around with your avatar in a virtual community.

These are all cool features but of course like everything in this world it comes at a cost. Servers such as Xbox Live charge either a monthly or yearly fee depending on how you join them. Playstation Network is free which is nice however it doesn't have as many features but is still nice when you just want to play online games with your friends.

Online communities are great places to connect with gamers from all over the world and share in the love of gaming. So yeah I strongly suggest joining a online gaming server.

Games based off of Movies

www.emuparadise.me

Games based off movie

Matsterchief here to warn you guys that games based off movies are rarely a good idea. Out of all the games ive played that are based off of movies only about a handful are worth playing. The main reason that games based off of movies usually suck is because the people who own the rights to the game and its title try to push the game out as soon as possible to make as much money as possible. This comes at a great cost because it limits the time game developers have to make the game worth playing.

Most of the time when playing these games your basically just playing a dumbed down version of the story with very little added to it to give it more enjoyablilty or creativity. The gameplay itself is often laughable with you literally tracing the characters foot steps from the movie and fighting extremely easy and boring bad guys.

This being said there are some games based off of movies that are worth checking out. One such game is Shadow of Mordor which is a game based off of the Lord of the Rings books and movies however it doesn't really follow the story in the sense that your not playing as a character from the movies nor are you do quests or missions that you saw in the movies. Instead you are forging a new story during the events of the movies and books which adds a fun and new perspective on that series.

All this aside the main point is to be very weary when it comes to games based off of movies because usually you will more often than not be very disappointed.

Gaming accessories

GAME ACCESSORIES

Hello everyone it me Matsterchief again here to talk today about gaming accessories. Now I am not talking about getting a controller that molds to your hands perfectly but for you serious hard core gamers out there who want one I have nothing against that, to each their own I say. I am talking about however toys that can make your game experience even more enjoyable.

For those Gamers who like to play online a lot with friends there is one piece of equipment I strongly urge you to get and that the a Turtle Beach game headset. This headset offers good sound quality noise canceling acoustics and its very comfortable you could probably wear it for hours and your ears would not hate you for it. This can run from $60-$160 but trust me they are a good investment.

Another fun toy is a racing wheel for you gamers who enjoy a more authentic feel when you are playing your racing games. They can help put you into the feel of the game and make you almost believe that you are actually behind the wheel of a real racecar .

Other little gadgets that I recommend getting are charging stands for you controllers because it sucks when your about to kill a dragon and your controller runs out of juice.

Gaming Conventions E3

Game Conventions

Hello, Hello, Hello its the Matsterchief again here to talk to you all about game conventions. There are several game conventions held in the U.S and over seas each year ranging from Blizzcon to Comicon. However one of the largest that is held each year is E3 in either May or June in Los Angeles California. This conventions features all of the major game companies such as Mircrosoft, Sony, and Nintendo. It also features many other smaller companies trying to leave their mark in the gaming world.

E3 can kind of be a lot to take in the first time in there. Most people probably would not know even where to start. Every year thousands of people attend and it can be pretty crazy but most everyone says its a blast. People can go and see what game developers have in store in the coming months and even get a chance to test out some of the games and products themselves before they even come out on the market. Overall the place is a blast and definitely.

Dragon Age Inquisition

news.ea.com

Hello my comrades. Here's a new game I have played recently and let me tell you it is amazing. It's called Dragon Age Inquisition. In the game you start out as the lone survivor of a terrible explosion that has killed thousands and has left you confused as well as tattooed with a strange glowing mark that is slowly spreading across your body. You learn that this mark however is the key to saving the world. The game itself is a huge open world game littered with places to explore and quests to fulfill. This game also allows you to do deep character customization, it mimics the Elder Scrolls Skyrim in many ways however in this game your actions and your choices can leave a lasting impact. There is no one set ending to this game there are actually several endings and each depends on what you do during your time playing the game.

Out of all the games out for next gen consols I strongly recommend checking out Dragon Age Inquisition, im giving it a 9.25 out of 10.

Xbox One review

www.xbox.com

Xbox One

Greetings to my fellow gamers; this is Matsterchief for another fun filled review. Todays review is over the new Xbox one. I have tested this out personally and I am quite impressed when I am able to play it however. The consul has many amazing features such as multi tasking where you can leave you game that your playing watch a news story then go back to your game at the exact point you left it. The graphics are also very impressive and it offers a pretty impressive frame rate which makes the games appear even more crisp and beautiful.

All these cool features come at a cost though and for some that cost may be just too high. The price tag alone for one of these bad boys can range anywhere from $370-$600 depending on whether you get a new or used one or one with more memory and so on. Another hit that I found out the hard way is that the consul has to be connected to the internet most of the time your using it. For those people who live in an area with good internet won't really have a problem, but for people like me who live in the boonies that's another matter. For me we had to upgrade our internet access just to be able to play the thing and even then sometimes it will boot me off depending on the strength of our internet signal.

When im able to play the Xbox One I enjoy myself and have a blast but still even though internet is becoming more available to people for some it can take them awhile to get it and even if they do there is no guarantee that they will have the proper internet strength to be able to play a system such as this.

All of these negatives aside, which may seem like a lot but still the Xbox One is a very good gaming consul and when the price drops to around $200-$300 id strongly recommend it to people. So after everything I'm giving the Xbox One a solid 8.25 out of 10.
