Best video Game Characters ever

Best Video Game Charcters ever

Hey Matsterchief here again to give a list of the Best Characters in gaming ever. Many of you probably will not agree but that is your right these however are just some of my favorites.

Ratchet and Clank: Two characters i know but in all honesty they might as well be one. These two are best friends as well as heroes. Ratchet is the courageous  one while Clank is the smart humorous one and neither would be the same without the other.

Master Chief: Also known as Spartan 117 or John he embodies all of what a hero should be. He is strong, brave, smart and not cocky all rolled into one. He is the hero many wish they could be but when the aliens come knocking the Master Chief is the only one we need.

Wheatley: Even though he's a bad guy he's still one of my favorite characters. He tries so hard to be evil but the whole time you just can't help but laugh at his unintentional humor and his attempts to be evil.

Comander Shepard: Just like the Master Chief Commander Shepard is another Hero trying to save the universe and finds out its not quite as easy as it sounds. Whether you make him/her a royal jerk or charismatic saint the wait of the world rests on your/his/her shoulders and that is by far a light burden to bear.

These are just a few of my favorite characters and I could go on and on but I think ill stop there for now. Until the next time my friends this is the MatsterChief signing off.

Game Sountracks

Hello again my fellow gamers Matsterchief here again to talk to you just abit about video game soundtracks. Just like in movie, soundtracks in video games are very important. If you were just wondering around the game with just the background noise in the game the mood would just be gone, it would just seem a boring walk or drive.

One example would be from the game Skyrim. If you were walking around in the wild and run into a dragon and you don't hear any battle music it would be cool yeah but better with music. That's why in the game whenever you run into a dragon to fight the music goes from melodic to fierce battle music to not only pump you up but to let you know that your in danger.

Other songs just help to create the atmosphere whether its tranquil or otherwise as well as to help set the mood and emotions in certain scenes. Just like in all parts of life music is a very important part of our lives whether our real ones or virtual ones.

Game Storylines

Hey guys today I was gonna talk a little bit about games with great storylines. Most people think of video games as just pieces of technlolgy that boys play where they do all kinds of violent things like shoot people or destroy things and so on. However many people forget or don't notice the games that have amazing story lines that leave you on the edge of your seat the whole time just like a good movie or book would do.

One such game story line is from Mass Effect. The story line for this spans three amazing games and puts you in the shoes of the main character Commander Shepard in his/her battle to save the Universe from a group of unknown alien monsters that many believe to be just a myth. Sounds corny when I put it like that but the game is very much a mature game with mature context such as how will your choices effect the people around you or even the universe that you are trying to save.

This is just one example of the many games that have amazing storylines that can take your breathe away, make you jump for joy or even tear up just like any book or movie could do. Just imagine this people, imagine that instead of picturing what your reading in your mind, your actually in the story and living that character's life and making their decisions. Picture yourself actually in a sense living the story.

That's all for today until next time Matsterchief signing off.

Game Makeover

Game Makeovers

Hey guys Matsterchief here again to speaketh to you all about game remakes. Sometimes as technology progresses our love for older games stays put. Luckily however game developers have noticed the market for game remakes.

Two games that I strongly recommend checking out are the remakes DOOM 3 BFG edition and Halo Combat Evolved Anniversary. Both of these games are remakes of old Xbox games and they have had their graphics upgraded and have bonus content in them. I like these two games because they were two of my all time favorite Xbox games I have ever played and when I got my Xbox 360 I missed playing them but I couldn't because my Xbox was not backwards compatible. However when these games came out lets just say I was a little excited.

I love it when game developers' take the time to notice what people really want and miss and they address that and in some ways that kind of makes it seem like they care about us. Im sure there more interested in the potential profits but still we can pretend can't we.

There are more games that have been upgraded to play on next gen consoles and im sure there will be more and who knows maybe one of your old childhood games will be the next to get a new pain job.

Online Gaming

Online Gaming

Hello Matsterchief here again to talk to you all abut online gaming. Ever since Microsoft came up with the idea of Xbox Live the online gaming community has skyrocketed. You have the ability to either play games against other people from around the world or even play with them in team cases.

There are other features than online commnuinites such as Xbox Live and Playstation Network can provide such as the ability to purchase and litsten to music and videos. You can also connect with people in ways other than gaming such as just being involved in chat rooms or going around with your avatar in a virtual community.

These are all cool features but of course like everything in this world it comes at a cost. Servers such as Xbox Live charge either a monthly or yearly fee depending on how you join them. Playstation Network is free which is nice however it doesn't have as many features but is still nice when you just want to play online games with your friends.

Online communities are great places to connect with gamers from all over the world and share in the love of gaming. So yeah I strongly suggest joining a online gaming server.

Games based off of Movies

www.emuparadise.me

Games based off movie

Matsterchief here to warn you guys that games based off movies are rarely a good idea. Out of all the games ive played that are based off of movies only about a handful are worth playing. The main reason that games based off of movies usually suck is because the people who own the rights to the game and its title try to push the game out as soon as possible to make as much money as possible. This comes at a great cost because it limits the time game developers have to make the game worth playing.

Most of the time when playing these games your basically just playing a dumbed down version of the story with very little added to it to give it more enjoyablilty or creativity. The gameplay itself is often laughable with you literally tracing the characters foot steps from the movie and fighting extremely easy and boring bad guys.

This being said there are some games based off of movies that are worth checking out. One such game is Shadow of Mordor which is a game based off of the Lord of the Rings books and movies however it doesn't really follow the story in the sense that your not playing as a character from the movies nor are you do quests or missions that you saw in the movies. Instead you are forging a new story during the events of the movies and books which adds a fun and new perspective on that series.

All this aside the main point is to be very weary when it comes to games based off of movies because usually you will more often than not be very disappointed.

GAME ACCESSORIES

Hello everyone it me Matsterchief again here to talk today about gaming accessories. Now I am not talking about getting a controller that molds to your hands perfectly but for you serious hard core gamers out there who want one I have nothing against that, to each their own I say. I am talking about however toys that can make your game experience even more enjoyable.

For those Gamers who like to play online a lot with friends there is one piece of equipment I strongly urge you to get and that the a Turtle Beach game headset. This headset offers good sound quality noise canceling acoustics and its very comfortable you could probably wear it for hours and your ears would not hate you for it. This can run from $60-$160 but trust me they are a good investment.

Another fun toy is a racing wheel for you gamers who enjoy a more authentic feel when you are playing your racing games. They can help put you into the feel of the game and make you almost believe that you are actually behind the wheel of a real racecar .

Other little gadgets that I recommend getting are charging stands for you controllers because it sucks when your about to kill a dragon and your controller runs out of juice.
