Gaming Consoles, Whats the best deal?

Hello again for another riveting post by me MatsterChief. I thought I would take some time and try to help people pick out a game console that they would fit them best and one that is the best deal. Of all the consoles that are out there the best ones to choose from would be either between the PS3, Xbox 360 or the Nintendo Wii.

Lets start with the PS3. The Play Station 3 is a very versatile console. It can store your music, your pictures and even videos. The console even has a built in DVD player and as well as a Blu-ray player which comes standard unlike the Xbox where you have to purchase a blue- ray player for it. Another plus is that most of the games made for the Xbox 360 are also available for the PS3. One other big plus for the PS3 is that the PlayStation Network is free you just need an internet connection. This is good and bad, the reason being is that the older versions of the PS3 need a Ethernet cable to connect to a computer modem this can be quite a hassle depending on where your computer is in your house. All in all id give the PS3 a 4 out of 5 and with a price tag at just around $200 its not a bad investment for a new gamer.

Next lets talk about the Xbox 360. This is the main rival to the PlayStation 3. Both of these consoles have very similar features and are roughly the same price at around $200. The 360 can save pictures and videos and has a built in DVD player just like the PS3. A bonus with the 360 that I have noticed is that there are a lot more quality games that come out for the 360 only than there are PS3 exclusive games which gives the Xbox an advantage. Also Xbox Live which is similar to the PlayStation Network has a lot more content for gamers to access but the down side to this is that it costs gamers a fee each month to stay connected to it. Even with some of the features that the 360 is lacking and the monthly fee for Xbox Live id still give the Xbox 360 a 4.5 out of 5, for an all around good gaming experience console.

Finally ill give you a little information about the Nintendo Wii. When this console was first released it took the world by storm and many places sold out after just a few days. This craze however did not last long mostly because the novelty of being an active participant in the game grew boring after just a while after buying the console. Out of all the consoles featured on this post the Wii is the cheapest at only around $80 in some stores. It will let you create a Mii which is an in game avatar you can use to play in many of the Wii games that were released. The Wii can also connect to Netflix which for awhile helped the Wii gain ground again but not long after this feature was added the PlayStation and Xbox did the same thing. Most of the games offer some sort of interactive quality which can be fun at first but can grow tiring during a long gaming session. Another problem with the Wii is that a lot of the games and controls are pretty clunky and the sensors in the remote and Wii will not always flow smoothly which can make some of the games a pain in the arse to play. All these things aside the Wii is a good console for family gaming and the ability for the Wii to be able to play old GameCube games is an added bonus to this console. With all things considered id give the Wii a 3.5 out of 5 its a good console to play with family and friends but not so much by yourself.
