Heller peoples, lately I have had some pretty deep conversations about video games and im sure most people probably could care less about so I thought I might as well do something simple and what most people enjoy a good ole classic game review!!! Today on this B E A UTIFUL day ill will be sharing my comments and views on a game I have been playing recently call Pay Day 2 for XBOX 360. This game unlike others I have talked about it past posts doesn't have much in the way of story telling or of thought provoking ideas but it does have lots of fun adrenaline fueled fun. In Pay Day 2 you can play as one of four professional bank robbers each with their own back story and custom mask but other than that theres not a whole lot of a story. It can be played online or off which is a classic feature in most games but offline you can only play by yourself as for online you can play with three other flesh and blood people which can make the gaming experience even more fun and exciting. You play the game simply by logging into your crime computer and you can choose which missions you want to play in and almost all are replayable. So you choose which mission you want and then you get a quick briefing about what the mission will entail and this gives you time and info to plan on what your are going to bring. This includes which weapons, tools and body armor will help you the most on a particular mission. Some missions are classic go into a jewelry store guns blazing taking hostages and stealing the jewels in the display cases, but some missions require a bit more stealth and cunning to pull off successfully. One feature I do like in the missions however is that they can be approached in many different ways such as instead of going guns blazing into the jewelry store you can pick the lock to the backdoor sneak around the guards and knock out most of the security there so when you do decide to start breaking stuff the cops won't show up quite as fast. Speaking of cops those are your main enemies in the game and yes some people might not like that just remember its only a game. Anyway when you do set off an alarm and you hear the cops are coming that's when things get heated. Typically the cops will show up in waves, normal uniformed cops then lightly body armored then to swat all the way up to heavily armored and armed bomb suit police. The waves are based on the difficulty of the mission, how long it takes you to complete a mission, how many hostages you have and how many civilians have been killed (hopefully on accident). So the key is to be quick careful and sneaky, but eveyones play style is different so do what you like to do and im sure it will all work out and be fun in the process. Other cool features of this game are for each mission you complete you get paid a certain amount of money that you can use to buy and upgrade your weapons get new armor and even buy and customize different masks to hide your identity. So all in all this game is a pretty good game however there are a few problems with it. If your playing offline be cautious of your computer controlled allies because a lot of times they can be more of a hindrance than a help. They will often run out into the middle of a firefight or get stuck in a wall and many times when you have like eight bags of money your trying to carry and you can carry only one at a time they cannot and will not help you carry the money which is a very aggirvating feature but not much you can do about it. Also there are quite a few little bugs here and there like cops getting stuck in walls and stuff along that line which isn't that big of a deal just mostly cosmetic work that needs done but overall this game is an amazing game that is definitely worth trying out. Well until next time peoples this is MatsterChief signing off.

Games as Art
Good morning fellow gamers and non gamers, its me again MatsterChief. I have been reading lately how many people seem to think that all video games are, are pieces of trash that do nothing except give some people a brief feeling of euphoria and happiness and they will destroy a persons mind. They say that video games will leave no impressions on a person after they put the controller except maybe anger and a tendency for violence. I believe however that this is not the case at all. Yes some games are very violent and provide little if any literary substance or emotion except for that of when you break your high score or move up in rank in your gaming group. However there are several games out there that are more than just a kill this kill that thrill ride, but are much deeper and can even shake up our very core. One such game I refer to is the game called Bioshock. This by far is one of the most moving games I have ever played and it makes you think about people and our society and just how crazy we all are. The plot of the game has your character who is a survivor of a plane crash discovering an underwater city. This city was not made by aliens or gods or anything like that it was made by a man with a vision. This showed how when people put their minds to something then almost nothing is impossible. But as your character delves into this city he sees how the city has become a nightmare. Murderers roam the streets people lie dead in the street and you can hear screams and load moans bellow through out the halls. In the story you find out that because the city has no real laws or morals like what we have the city started to go in a downward spiral, and what really made the city destroy itself was when wonder drug was discovered that could change people entirely. They could shoot fire by snapping their fingers and even teleport but these powers came at a terrible price and that was addiction. Basically what you find out is the main point of the game and his revealed in the games opening video is "We all make choices, but in the end our choices make us." to me this was very powerful and moving and how the game delivered it was breathtaking and scary as hell. The game itself it a beautiful mash up of great story telling a wonderful ambience even though it is scary, and beautiful artwork surrounding you. If people consider certain movies and books works of art then why isn't a game such as rapture considered art to? It has a storyline, climax thought provoking ideas and again beautiful art deco style artwork yet it is not considered art. Maybe it is because you play it instead of just sitting looking at it or reading and imaging it but it still has the same message. To me its crazy but to each their own I suppose, but in my world games like Bioshock, The Last of Us, Heavy Rain, and Even Call of Duty and Halo will be considered beautiful pieces of art that should be shared and appreciated for what they are. Until then MatsterChief signing off.
