ITS A ME A MARIO!!! Ok not really its me Matsterchief again for another vintage game review. This weeks game is Super Mario Bro. for the Nintendo. I don't care who you are this game is a classic and everyone should play it at least once. Its a game that makes you feel like a kid no matter what your age. Its a simply must play game.
The story line is a bit confusing and to be honest I don't have much of a clue what it is at all just that a princess named peach has been kidnapped by a turtle dragon dude and you have to rescue her pretty awesome right. The game itself is a simple plat forming game meaning you basically jump from platform to platform while avoiding hazards and enemies like lava lakes or man eating plants. You just go from level to level avoiding all obstacles and jump on a flag pole to go to the next level not much more difficult than that.
Besides the story being somewhat lacking in my opinion but the simple fun of avoiding obstacles and jumping on gumpa's heads (bad guys in the game) or dodging squids in underwater levels or eating mushrooms that let you through fire balls, this game just makes me feel like a kid again and I have a blast while doing it. So with that being said I give Super Mario Bros. a 9 out of 10. Remember however that this is just my opinion so play the game for yourself and then you decide whether you like it or not.
Until next time Matsterchief signing off

Vintage game of the week :Mario
Mobile Games
crypticgnome.com |
Hello once again this is Matsterchief here to talk about the wonderful world of mobile games. Mobile games have taken much of the gaming and entertainment markets by storm. This is most likely due to the fact that a vast majority of the public have or at least have access to some sort of smart phone or tablet.
Several games such as the very popular Clash of Clans and Game of War have had millions of downloads and people are wildly impressed. Many people have even said that because of mobile games, console games could be non existent in the near future. However many people disagree with this me as well. Mobile games are fun to play when your bored when your waiting for someone at school or if your on a long road trip but they don't offer too much in the form of a story or gameplay. Most have choppy controls or extremely bad graphics and play styles that cannot compete with console games.
All that aside I will not say that mobile games are a waste of time or they are stupid, I like to play them and I play them a lot just not for long periods of time. They're fun but not too fun to replace my consoles.
Well that's all for today MatsterChief signing off

Video game Advertising
Hello my faithful blog peoples its me again and today I thought I would talk about a topic associated with gaming, and that is the video game advertising. Video game advertising is a huge business. Some game campaigns cost several million dollars in hopes that they will get enough peoples attention to buy their game and make up for the campaign costs and of course make a profit.
However some games can run huge campaigns and still run up short. One example of this is the game called Homefront. They ran several elaborate and expensive campaigns and failed to make a sufficient profit. Then there are games like Call of Duty Modern Warfare 3 whose ad campaigns have rivaled that of block buster movies.
So for those of you out their who like games and advertising maybe this is the career for you.
Until next time this is Matsterchief signing off.
